About this Job

Reporting to a Senior Geologist, the Geology Technician is a significant contributor to

the safe development and operations of the underground mine. More specific

responsibilities include:

- Maintain drill hole database

- Log core

- Maintain ground control database

- Insure compliance for ground monitoring systems and procedures

- Assist in maintaining geology maps

- Contribute to the development of the company safety culture

University degree in Geology, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education

and experience, preferably in underground operations

- Demonstrated record of safety leadership

- Experience with core logging

- Ground monitoring (geotechnical) experience, an asset

- Surveying experience

- Proficiency in mine planning software; Surpac and AutoCAD, preferable

- Excellent skills in developing and using spreadsheets (Excel)

- Able to work a rotational work schedule of 2 weeks in x 2 weeks out

- Consent to a pre-employment medical examination which includes a drug & alcohol screening
