About this Job
Reporting to the Heritage Director, this position will plan, operate and manage activities at the Teslin Tlingit Heritage Center and within the community that relate to visual and performing arts; develop and promote public programming that will provide cultural experiences for citizens and tourists; encourage and support local artisans by facilitating training and development of their business and artistic skills.
Knowledge and Skills: knowledge of Teslin Tlingit Council, geography, history and demographics; knowledge of Teslin Land Claim and Self Government and Implementation Agreements; knowledge of Tlingit laws, Ha Kus Teyea , and traditional ways; knowledge of Federal and Territorial funding programs relating to development and support of visual and performing artists; proven experience developing cultural and arts programming for all ages; knowledge of marketing practices and theory; ability to design and set up art exhibits
