Finance Support Officer (one regular part time position and one project based position)
Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing basic financial and clerical support to the Finance Department of TTC including general back-up and support for accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation functions. The position also assists other Finance staff in the performance of their duties as necessary.
Education & Experience: Grade 12 supplemented with two years course work towards an Accounting Designation, or the equivalent in training and experience; coursework or relevant experience using various applicable software programs such as AccPac, specifically: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules, Aboriginal Information systems, and Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); ability to accurately maintain files, records and correspondence; knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Conditions of Employment: willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak or critical work periods such as but not limited to year-end and audit; Certified Criminal Record Check; valid class 5 driver’s license
