The Work: We are looking for an energetic leader to join our management team in the Western Arctic. You will work in the beautiful hamlet of Paulatuk, a community of approximately 300 residents largely responsible for the creation of Tuktut Nogait National Park. With rolling tundra, stunning waterfalls, wild rivers, precipitous canyons, and a variety of unique wildlife and vegetation, Tuktut Nogait is one of Canada’s undiscovered gems. It is home to the Bluenose West caribou herd, wolves, grizzly bears, muskoxen, arctic char and a high density of raptors.

You will work within the cooperative management context of two modern Aboriginal land claim agreements to create and deliver programs and services that celebrate and protect the natural and cultural heritage of Tuktut Nogait National Park. To do this, you will work closely with the Tuktut Nogait Management Board, other cooperative management bodies, elders, and the community at large.

Salary: $62,609 to $67,653 per year plus a generous Isolated Post Allowance*

*Maximum Annual Isolated Post Allowance, Paulatuk, NT (effective October 1, 2012)

Isolated Post Allowance for Individual: $19,030 to $23,455

Isolated Post Allowance for employee with dependants: $31,717 to $39,092

Vacation Travel Assistance (effective April 1, 2013) for individual: $9,156

Vacation Travel Assistance (effective April 1, 2013) for employee with dependants: Adult $9,156 and child $7,683.90
