About this Job
This position is responsible for the planning and delivery of a summer program for a school age child that requires support both socially and emotionally . Summer activities include swimming, outdoor team activities, art, dance, nutritional programming, hiking and literacy programs. You must adhere to the safety regulations set out but Child Care Services and the Little Blue Learning Centre.
Must have excellent communication skills, and impeccable teamwork skills. We will require a clear criminal record check, first aid- CPR certification and coursework in the Early Education field (Level 1 or higher). You will also be required to have a doctor's note verifying you are able to work with children as well as a TB screen and updated immunization records. Preference is given to those who can provide this information prior to being hired.
Wage dependent upon Early Childhood course work and experience.
Early Childhood Education Skills:
Plan and develop school age programming. Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities, Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music, Assess the developmental level of children, Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members, Knowledge of safety and licensing regulations are an asset.
