We are looking for a new member to join our team as Financial Analyst. You will be accountable for budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting requirements of the organization.This position include analysis and understanding of the organization’s financial results in areas such as cash flow, treasury and regulatory requirements. In addition, the position is also accountable for providing general financial reporting and analysis to a variety of situations as the need arises

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts etc) taking into account the company’s goals and financial standing

• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts

• Identify trends, advise the company and recommend actions based on sound analysis

• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data

• Perform day to day treasury functions and provide effective management of long term cash

• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis in specific areas of business

• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models for regulatory financial requirements on an ad-hoc basis

• Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope

• Drive process improvement initiatives that impact the function

• Other assignments as required

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with 5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst

• CA, CMA, CGA Accounting designation an asset

• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications

• Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills

• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis

• Well informed in current financial subjects, money market and business environment

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $61,800 to $75,000 annually. In addition to the salary you would be eligible for an annual bonus, employee discount plan, vacation travel allowance, four weeks vacation, comprehensive benefit plan, BCE share purchase options and a company pension plan.
