Capstone Mining Corp. is a Canadian base metals mining company, preferentially focussed on copper, with two producing copper mines, the Cozamin copper-silver-zinc-lead mine located in Zacatecas State, Mexico and the Minto copper-gold-silver mine in Yukon, Canada. In addition, Capstone has two development projects, the large scale 70% owned Santo Domingo copper-iron-gold project in Chile in partnership with Korea Resources Corporation and the 100% owned Kutcho copper-zinc-gold-silver project in British Columbia, as well as other exploration properties.

The Minto Mine is an open pit and underground mining operation with conventional crushing, grinding, and flotation to produce copper concentrates with significant gold and silver credits. In June 2012, the results of the pre-feasibility study Phase VI were released which incorporated the results of some earlier exploration success, extending the mine life to 2022.

Job Title: Warehouse Person
Responsible for maintaining inventory control of equipment parts, material and general supplies. Incumbent processes orders, adjusts inventory levels to optimize stock availability and avoid stock-outs, establishes new items into stock, expedites deliveries, responds to requests for priority orders, reconciles variances, co-ordinates the disposal of surplus or obsolete materials and maintains current inventory catalogues and descriptions. Maintains liaison with users, buyers and suppliers and may participate in tender evaluations and vendor selection.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Working safely at all times, in compliance with Company policies and Yukon OH&S regulations.
Receiving and shipping.
Expediting and hot shots.
Communicating with transportation companies.
Organization and upkeep of the warehouse.
Actively participating in annual training to become a journeyman warehouseperson.
Safe forklift operations, day to day operation of the warehouse and laydown areas.
Maintaining equipment, transport in good / readiness in good order.
Assembling, packing and transporting shipments.
Working cooperatively as a member of the Administration Team.
Practicing and actively promoting company environmental, health, safety and operational policies and procedures.
Promoting team-building at all levels, and a respectful cross-cultural work environment.
Other duties as may be required by the Company.
Journeyman Industrial Warehouse or Parts Ticket preferred.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Must have 2-4 years’ experience in warehouse operations.
Experience operating small loaders and zoom-boom.
Knowledge of Underground Equipment/Parts preferred
This position involves working at a remote worksite on a two week in two week out rotation. This position requires walking to and from different locations on site and prolonged periods of standing may be required. Exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons is expected as is working in extreme conditions such as snow, mud or ice.
