Job Description/Duties:

CAFN is currently seeking 4-6 CAFN members to fill a 7 week, full time position as an Environmental Site Assessment Assistant. The successful candidates will be enrolled in an intensive training program that will require classroom and field work at Champagne. The training program will lead to a national certification as an Environmental Site Assessment Assistant through the BEAHR program (Building Environmental Aboriginal Human Resources). The ideal candidate will possess the following: • prior environmental field work experience • basic understanding of water quality and soil quality issues in the environment • basic understanding of water and soil sampling techniques • willingness to work outside in various weather conditions • commitment to complete an intensive training program leading to a national certification in Environmental Site Assessment Assistant.
